Summer, growth, and community involvement

It’s almost August, can you believe it? What a strange first half of the year!

I’ve been thinking about the evolution of Wild Wine Run, its growth, and its message.
I want to grow the offer of events, the WWR community and its identity, and have an even stronger message, on top of helping independent and family-owned businesses.

WWR will of course stay involved in charity fundraising. We’re happy to support again the TRIBE Freedom Foundation with all the help their doing to support victims/survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery.

I’m in talks for a new event in Sussex (details to be announced in autumn), I started a new format for the Brighton Chapter of the Running Club, and I’ve finally pushed forward for the London Chapter of the Running Club, to have in conjunction with one of my team mebers, Ade. This last item strenghtens our presence in the city because we’ve been in London for a couple of years now and I’ve introduced the Wine Run events in London, on top of being able toreach even mroe people to offer our help.

Speaking of the new London endeavour, we’ve been brainstorming about how to shape the Running Club. How is Wild Wine Run involved with the local community? Unfortunately, there are plenty of people in need. Mental health and homelessness come to mind. The second one was the subject of an article from Outside Magazine, it was a pleasure to read.

Zeroing-in to a mission will help identify the message, and vice-versa. We’re looking forward to to this and offer help to some people.

One way to grow the community identity and bond is to have a paltform for memberships. I’m about to launch this platform which will offer the possibility for three tiers of memberships, as well as easing up the registration process for participants.

Lots of things are happening, it’s exciting. I’ll keep everyone updated.

Have a great August!
