Back to business

I’m happy that next month, July, we’re back to business!

I’m starting again with the Wild Wine Running Clubs, both the Brighton and Eastbourne Chapters.

This period was a bit weird for everyone and it definitely was for us. As you can imagine, as a sports event company I had to stop the events completely, waiting for a permitted opening to start again. Given the government directions and NHS guidelines, we’re now allowed to have a group of six people. Hence, we are back!

I had three months of RunningWine newsletter, weekly virtual training, and virtual events. It was fun and I hope the community stayed close in these secluded times, but I’m of course happier to see everybody (or, as many people as possible) in person.

The events will start with only 5 participants, plus one run-leader (Richard, myself), as per government guidelines. It’ll still be fun, and people can still socialize even if they are 2 meters away from each other.

Hopefully by late summer and early autumn we won’t have as strict restrictions in place and we can have the bigger events as well, maybe with heated start times. We’ll see!

The news is that in Brighton we are starting with a new format: Run, wine, and… yoga! I’m partnering with local yoga instructor Rachel who will teach the yoga session. You might have seen her in some videos I posted of her showing post-run stretching. That’s her!

I love keeping improving the events, proposing something new, and keeping the interest high.
For that reason I’m still collecting answers from a survey I sent out. 9 questions and 2 minutes of your time, please fill the survey in so I can improve the events per your preferences and cater to your interests.

On we go!
