First event of 2019

The first event of 2019, the The Wild Wine Run Series Charity 5K & 10K - Loughborough (event Facebook page here), happened last Sunday 19 May. What a blast!

About 120 people on site, few kids and quite a few dogs (all very well behaved). Lots of smiles, good energy, wine and green scenery.

The trail was not particularly steep but there were quite a few ups and downs along the vines. The south-facing site was quite enjoyable with quite a variety of views, peaceful surroundings and green everywhere.

Our hosts Walton Brook Vineyard delivered with the complimentary wine tasting of ALL six of their English wines, including their fancy and award-winning sparkling Pinot Gris! And not to forget the BBQ food afterwards!

We had a great team and we hope you all enjoyed the event. We are back on Sunday 15 September 2019 after a stop in London on Sunday 23 June for the UK’s first ever Urban Wine Run!
